Mr. Gyurcsak holds a BFA from The School of Visual Arts, New York, 1986, and has had the opportunity to study with some of America's finest contemporary artists & illustrators including, Alex Gnidziejko, Braldt Bralds, Michael Deas, Nelson Shanks* and Stephen Kennedy. Inspired by 19th century impressionist and naturalist painters, he continues to study the works and techniques of George Inness, Willard Metcalf, Edgar Payne, John Singer Sargent, Joaquín Sorolla, and the early American Impressionists.

A highly motivated and focused individual, Joseph is a seasoned teacher and workshop instructor for over 15 years. As resident artist for Utrecht Art Supply, he is responsible for managing all technical aspects of artists' materials and conducting lectures/painting workshops throughout the United States.

*This demo/lecture is tentatively scheduled to take place in the Community Center. We will send updated information if we are able to use Fellowship Hall.
